NEW PROPOSED BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF TSHWANE METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY
Please see e-mail below and in particular the section the reads:
"According to this notice, a small part of the Metsweding District Municipality will be incorporated into Ekurhuleni."
Mike van Blommestein advised me that the above "small part" includes our section of the farm Doornkloof 391JR.
We have until the end of June to lodge objections.
Should you wish Mike van Blommestein to lodge an objection on our behalf he will need to have a mandate by 23rd of June.
As Mike has made previous representation to the Demarcation Board on
behalf of the Doornkloof Owners he has most of the relevant
documentation on file.

I wish to advise that a notice was published in Gauteng Provincial
Gazette Extraordinary No. 144 on 29 May, 2008, regarding the
re-determination of the boundaries of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan
Municipality and Ekurhuleni.
According to this notice, a small part of the Metsweding District
Municipality will be incorporated into Ekurhuleni. The remainder of the
Metsweding District Municipality, which includes Kungwini and Nokeng
tsa Taemane, will be incorporated into the City of Tshwane Metropolitan
Municipality.

Proposed re-determination of municipal boundaries by excluding
Zwartkoppies, Tweefontein, Rietfontein,Grootfontein, Zwavelpoort,
Mooiplaats, Tiegerpoort, Rietfontein,
Mooiplaats, portion of Donkerhoek, Witkoppies, Sterkfontein portion of
Rensburg and portion of Doornkloof farms from Kungwini Local
Municipality GT462) and by including them into the City of Tshwane
Metropolitan Municipality (TSH).
DEM389 - Published in Beeld and Citizen - circa 30th March 2008 Read:
Notice is herby given in terms of section 26 of the Local Government:
Municipal Demarcation Act, 1998 (Act No. 27 of 1998), of the intention
of the Municipal Demarcation Board to consider the re-determination of
the boundaries of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality (TSH), Ekurhuleni
Metropolitan Municipality (EKU), Metsweding District Municipality
(DC46), Kungwini Local Municipality (GT462) and Nokeng tsa Teamane
Local Municipality (GT461) by including the area of the Metsweding
District Municipality (DC46) into Tshwane and Ekurhuleni. This notice
should be read with the section 26 notice that has already been
published under reference DEM378. The above-mentioned proposal should
be regarded as an alternative option to the proposal that only certain
farms be excluded from Kungwini and Metsweding, and be included into
City of Tshwane.
