Jerry David Alsup
And to add to all of these troubles, it is said that Mr. Alsop's crop like many of those in the neighborhood of Bronson, has been practically destroyed by the drouth.
Mr. Alsop has a wife, one daughter, Marie and two sons, Virgil and Floyd. Marie and Virgil are unmarried, and make their home with their parents. Floyd is married and makes his home at Uniontown. William H. Alsop, the grocer of this city, is also a brother of Samuel Alsop, and he immediately went to Bronson, upon hearing of the tragedy. Mr. Alsop also has a sister, Mrs. Mary Jennings, who lives at Bronson. Mrs. Alsop is a niece of both Mrs. Charles Love, and A. N. Alien of this city. (end ofobit)

The
only Alsop to grow to adulthood was Leo Dane "Dana"
who was born October 1884, and died in Bourbon Co. on 16 Dec. 1911.
Very little has been learned about his life.
Virgil Faye Alsop brother of Dana and son of Samuel and Mary Alsop was born on the family farm at Dry Creek on 15 April 1891. Virgil was about 24 years old at the time of his father's death. He inherited the family home and about half of the farm land. Fern Alsop Pickerill who lives in Clearwater, Kansas is the daughter of Floyd Alien Alsop, and she told me that when her grandfather died Virgil and Floyd and their sister Marie agreed that Virgil would have the house and some of the farm land, while Floyd would get the 80 acres across the road from die Alsop house. Marie got all of the cash money that Samuel had left as she was nor interested in land.
